These drink bombs use the same chemical reaction as bath bombs, but without the inedible ingredients. When you combine citric acid (the first ingredient in Crystal Light) with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and add water, an ACID-BASE CHEMICAL REACTION takes place. The result is carbon dioxide gas which is what you observe as it fizzes in your drink. Experiment with the ratios of ingredients to determine what has the greatest fizz while still tasting good!
