Site Leader Responsibilities
- Inspire a group of girls in your community with the awesome potential of STEM.
- Act as the main contact for STEM Like a Girl participants, volunteers, and donors in your city and STEM Like a Girl chapter planning before and throughout the program.
- Coordinate all aspects of hosting a STEM Like a Girl workshop leveraging the STEM Like a Girl Handbook for guidance on workshop activities, supplies and overall organization.
- Identify & secure local workshop sites (schools, community centers…etc.). This includes organizing site setup and teardown on the day of each workshop (a network of volunteers is key!).
- Lead participant, volunteer, mentor, and donor recruitment efforts, leveraging STEM Like a Girl marketing materials, by spreading the word about STEM Like a Girl throughout the community using social media and email.
- Commit to hosting a minimum of one workshop per year in your location.
- Serve as a representative of the STEM Like a Girl organization within their community and support the mission and values of STEM Like a Girl.
