The STEM Like a Girl Board of Directors is seeking new board members to help promote our mission and grow our program. Are you are passionate about inspiring young girls in STEM and want to get more involved in STEM Like a Girl? Do you have a background or interest in the following areas? Curriculum Development
- Looking for someone with a passion to inspire young girls in STEM while taking on a leadership role within the STEM Like a Girl organization.
- Will assist in curriculum development and implementation of fun, engaging, and hands-on activities for use in our workshops.
- A background in education, teaching, or curriculum development is a plus.
- Ability to attend every other month board meetings and at least one STEM Like a Girl workshop each year.*
- Willingness to support, promote, and serve as a liaison for the STEM Like a Girl organization in the community.
Marketing
- Looking for someone with a passion to inspire young girls in STEM while taking on a leadership role within the STEM Like a Girl organization.
- Will assist in planning and executing marketing efforts for all aspects of STEM Like a Girl, including participants, volunteers, and sponsors. This would include print and digital materials, social media, and any other marketing champaigns that might come up.
- Experience in marketing, graphic design, and SEO is a plus.
- Ability to attend every other month board meetings and at least one STEM Like a Girl workshop each year.*
- Willingness to support, promote, and serve as a liaison for the STEM Like a Girl organization in the community.
*We are looking for the ideal candidates for our team and will consider applicants that are both local to the Portland metro area as well as located remotely.
