General Workshop Details
- Who: All 3rd-5th grade girls* and a parent or adult caregiver
- Cost: $25 per parent-daughter pair ($15 for additional daughters within the same family)
- Scholarships: Financial assistance is available for families to cover the full cost

At our Parent-Daughter Workshops, you will
- participate in fun hands-on activities.
- learn about the design process and why failure is a good thing!
- meet and talk to women scientists and engineers to learn about what they do.
- work with other parents (or adult caregivers) and girls to solve challenges as a team.
- gain valuable bonding time between parents and daughters as you explore and learn together!
Our Curriculum
Our STEM Like a Girl curriculum contains over twenty five Ice Breaker activities and ten Design Challenges that we rotate through. A typical workshop includes eight Ice Breaker stations and two Design Challenges. We try to select different activities for each workshop, but there may be some overlap. Design Challenge activities for specific workshops will be posted as soon as they are selected. Because the Design Challenges are open ended, we’ve also heard that girls love repeating projects as it gives them the opportunity to try a different design. So if an activity is new-to-you or a repeat project, we know that you and your daughter will have fun working on them TOGETHER!
