This week’s Wednesday’s Women in STEM series features Megha Pandey, a computer science enthusiast who loves the challenge of coding, even when it doesn’t go as planned.

When did you first become interested in STEM?

When I completed my 10 grade I was very happy to get involved in STEM. I am currently studying as a diploma student with computer science as my stream! I really love coding and spend most of my time doing it, thus making me fall in love with STEM.

Where did you go to school and what did you study?

I am from India and I am currently studying in the field of STEM from the Computer Science branch .The stories are not so interesting only that I love what I do with it, including that once I tried  making joints in carpentry shop and that was a day I really understood the struggle of an engineer.

What is your current career and how do you use your interests in STEM on a day-to-day basis?

I often do online courses from IBM and Microsoft which makes me dedicated towards STEM.

What advice would you give to young girls who are interested in pursuing STEM activities or careers?

Yes! From my point of view what make you most comfortable to start a career in any field is the support from your parents , your willingness to learn, and the madness of going to any extent to learn. If you follow your passion you will either win or lose, but it still gives you a chance to rise up again and fight back the challenge, so just be determined!
