Oobleck is made by combining corn starch and water. It behaves as a NON-NEWTONIAN FLUID, meaning that it can act as both a solid and a liquid depending on the stress you put in it. When you squeeze it hard, it feels firm like a solid but when you let it relax or just squeeze lightly, it flows more like a liquid.
