
Personal Experience & Biography
Gianna is a current undergraduate student at Rutgers University– New Brunswick studying Cell Biology Neuroscience and Chemistry. She supports her mother, Brigitte, who has a form of Multiple Sclerosis called relapsing-remitting MS, which inspired her to pursue a career in the Neuroscience field. Her future plans include attending medical school in hopes of becoming a neurosurgeon. She also has intellectual curiosity in other areas of science, which is demonstrated through her love of caring for exotic animals. Gianna has over twenty species of tarantula, along with other species of scorpion, mantis, and millipede. Her passion for STEM is endless, and she hopes to advocate for more diversity within science through STEM Like a Girl’s mission.
